私は、生命の循環の中にある時間を見つめています。

植物は芽吹き、成長し、やがて役目を終えて土へ還ります。

私は、その循環の途中にある時間をガラスの中へ留める作品を制作しています。

作品に用いるのは、分解へ向かう植物たちです。

朽ちて消えていく存在の中には、生命が次の生命へ受け渡される静かな時間が刻まれています。

私の作品は植物を保存するためのものではありません。

生命が循環する過程に現れる時間への気づきを形にする試みです。

沖縄県恩納村の豊かな自然の中で、日々植物と向き合いながら制作を続けています。

20年にわたる研究の末、植物を高温のガラスに焼き付ける独自技術を開発し、特許を取得しました。

本来であれば焼成によって失われる植物を、ガラスの中に定着させることで、消えゆく時間の痕跡を作品として残しています。

使用するガラスには、建築で役目を終えた窓ガラスも用いています。

植物と鉱物。

生命と大地。

私の作品は、その循環の中に存在する時間を見つめるためのガラス作品です。

I explore the time that exists within the cycle of life.

Plants emerge, grow, fulfill their role, and eventually return to the earth.

My work seeks to preserve the passage of time that exists within this cycle.

I work with plants that are in the process of decomposition.

Within these fragile forms lies a quiet transition, where one life becomes part of the foundation for another.

My work is not about preserving plants.

It is about preserving the time that exists within the cycle of life.

Based in Onna Village, Okinawa, I create glass artworks inspired by the natural environment that surrounds me.

After more than twenty years of research, I developed and patented a unique process that enables plants to withstand the high temperatures of glass firing.

Through this process, plant forms that would normally disappear are preserved within glass, capturing traces of transformation and renewal.

I also incorporate reclaimed architectural glass, giving new life to materials that have completed their original purpose.

Plants and minerals.

Life and earth.

My work reflects on the quiet passage of time that connects them all.
